Suomalaisten ikiomia emojeja
on olemassa ihan kiitettävästi.
Tässä muutama sellainen:

Ensimmäisenä rakas Sauna:
Every Finn has her/his own way of going to the sauna but one’s mind and body will always be cleaned. It’s a sauna state of mind.

Seuraavaksi itseoikeutetusti
suomalainen Sisu
The feeling of perseverance.
In Finland, as the saying goes, we ‘go through even a grey rock.’ Arctic nature has given us guts – or ‘sisu’ as we call it. It’s about not giving in – even when it might be wiser to do so…

Oma suosikkini on
Villasukat eli Woolly socks
The feeling of granny-made warmth.
The woolly socks are like a national costume to Finns. They are comforting when ill, they offer warmth when skiing. A great all-rounder – which is made even more soul-nurturing if your grandmother has knitted them herself. They can also be worn with flip flops.

Äitiyspakkauslaatikko eli Baby in a box:
The feeling of being cared for
Just add the baby! Opening the box opens up a whole new life: as a parent and as a new family. Available for every expecting Mum in Finland, the maternity box brings love and care

Peacemaker
The ‘peacemaker’ feeling.
Martti Ahtisaari, the former President of Finland, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to resolve international conflicts on several continents and over more than three decades.

The Iceman
The feeling of ”Leave me alone. I know what I’m doing.”
This typically Finnish attitude was made famous by the Iceman himself, Formula 1 driver Kimi Räikkönen. We feel he quite nicely sums it all up.

Kalsarikännit
The feeling when you are going to get drunk home alone in your underwear – with no intention of going out.
A drink. At home. In your underwear.
And there is a word for it. Kalsarikännit.

Lost hopes
The feeling of getting your hopes up. Every time.
Finland is notorious for its lack of success in the Eurovision Song Contest. Each time we wait for a win but get zero points. So to get back at them we entered a band of monsters in 2006 — and won.

Ihanaa että mukana on myös Saamen lippu:
The Sámi
The indigenous people of Finland
Existence can be tough in the Arctic, but the Sámi have adapted well to the environment. The Sámi, whose homelands stretch across northern Finland, Sweden and Norway and a corner of northwestern Russia, are the only indigenous people of the European Union. The Sámi flag was recognised in 1986; the same colours commonly appear in the traditional Sámi garb called “gákti.”

Stuck
The feeling when you realize winter is here.
Even a Finnish child knows you shouldn’t lick anything made out of metal when it’s freezing outside. But you do it anyway. And then you’re stuck*!
*Ask a Finn how to get your tongue unstuck. Beware. It can get nasty.

Ja Oikea joulupukki;
The original Santa

The feeling of the never-ending wait for Santa Claus.
The real Santa comes from Finland. He has always lived in Korvatunturi, Lapland. Not the North Pole!

Rikkoutumaton Nokia:
Unbreakable
The ‘unbreakable’ feeling.
Finns are tough, almost unbreakable. Finland has produced quite a bunch of unbreakable and long-lasting items such as the old Nokia 3310 phone which is famous for being, well, unbreakable.

Pitäisi vissiin ostaa tällainen uudelleen...
Nuo nykyiset puhelimet menevät niin
helposti rikki...
